The story behind our name, our pivot, and the transformation we’re driving in PPP infrastructure.
From Crisis to Catalyst
When we set out to launch SWIP3 – Strengthening Women’s Involvement in Public-Private Partnerships – our goal wasn’t simply to amplify women’s presence in leadership rooms or board conversations.
Our mission was, and remains, much deeper: to reshape the way PPP infrastructure is planned, designed, procured, and operated, so it responds to the needs of all gender groups, especially those historically underserved by large-scale development.
The Plot Twist That Changed Everything
Just before our launch, we faced an unexpected challenge: our original domain was held hostage by a developer at a critical moment. With a global SWIP3 event upon us and no time to waste, we pivoted – swiftly and boldly – to swiip3.org.
That extra “i”? It became our superpower.

- SWIIP3 feels human – like a sweep of change, an intentional redesign
We didn’t just change a letter. We claimed our space.
