The Gender and SDGs in PPP Guidelines for Nigeria’s PPP Infrastructure x-rays the PPP lifecycle to identify entry points and global best practices to find gender-centric ways of through which Gender-focused thinking overview paper considers transport services and their impact on poverty and growth in rural sub-Saharan Africa. It builds on a substantial preliminary review ,

It covers:

1. Observed gender impacts on PPP Infrastructure in Nigeria and across Africa.
2. Constraints of the lack of gender-focused considerations in PPP Infrastructure on women in communities and across the PPP delivery life cycle in view of attaining the goals of the SDGs, achieving poverty alleviation and growth associated with the absence of gender-specific features in PPP Infrastructure and services.
3. The potential for improved delivery of PPP Infrastructure across all sectors toward delivering gender-responsive PPPs, in Nigeria in addition to collaborating with other African Nations to achieve synergy and unified gender standards in PPP Infrastructure across the continent.
4. Identification of gaps and key entry points in the assessment of (i) where and how gender-specific features could be established in the various PPP delivery life cycle stages to bridge the gender gap in all PPP Infrastructure delivery and (ii) areas where new considerations could be harnessed to improve monitoring and evaluation and high-level reporting of the socio-economic impacts of PPPs in Nigeria.

SWIIP3 seeks close cooperation with subject matter experts and industry stakeholders on the gender and SDGs in PPPs guidelines for PPPs in Nigeria.
